WOW Words
Today I am reviewing WOW Words on the Web, yes, WOW Words on the Web,
from Elizabeth Campbell. Liz is one of my clients who is a writing guru.
One of the things that she does amazingly is teach other people how to write, and this book is really incredible. If you’re the kind of person who wants to write your own content, you want to blog,
you want to write articles in magazines, you want to write the content on your website, your newsletters, this book is the must-have book Because this talks about so many useful things
that you might not have thought about. Now, I am a published author, was a published author before I met Liz, and before I read her book and we found her courses, and she really inspired me to take my writing to a new level. And she’s very strategic about it. She’s talking about the soul and substance of your writing. She talks about structure, which is something that she talks about in her workshops,
and that’s so important, the structure, and I learnt quite a bit about the structure and how to use the structure of what you’re writing to engage with the audience. So, a lot of people talk about the attention-grabbing headline, which she mentions and explains how you do it, but she also talks about
the structure including a call to action. Sometimes when we write a blog, we don’t say, hey, click here for further information, or if you want to, I don’t know, sign up to my next workshop, click here. Anyway, she explains it all much more eloquently than I can. The thing that I like about this book also, is that she has a mind about is that she has a mind about SEO when you’re writing, so obviously a lot of what we’re writing these days is going to end up on the Internet, and she’s got that top of mind, and she explains how you create SEO-rich content when you write. So, for the un-initiated, SEO is Search Engine Optimization. So basically, in layman’s tIt’s more valuable than
what other people write. erms, how to write so that when you put in on the Internet, more people find you. This book is an absolute cracker, and I completely, highly, totally recommend it. I love what Liz does, and in fact, her courses are incredible as well, I’ve been on several, and I just love her style, and her energy, and every time I go to one of her workshops, or I reread the book, I pick up another little
nugget, another little gem. So whether you have never written blogs before, that’s fine, or if you’re quite an accomplished writer, like I had already published books. I still found I learnt a lot, and for those who are not experienced writers, they also learn a lot, because this takes it down to first principles as well.
So wherever you’re at, this book will give you lots of information, and lots of really good practical advice
in steps you can follow, so that your words on the Internet are all WOW words. Now, if you would like
your book reviewed by me, please contact me, do it soon, ’cause slots are filling up. I would love to see
your book and review it. My name is Cathryn Warburton, and I am the Legal Lioness.
